6:00 pm: Attendance.
6:05 - 6:10 Election of Officers for 2008 - 2009 Special Town Meetings and 2009 Annual Town Meeting.
6:15: Discussion of Warrant for 2008 Special Town Meeting on November 4th.
THE WARRANT COMMITTEE' RECOMMENDATION IS NEEDED FOR THE SPECIAL TOWN MEETING TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 4TH WHEN THERE WILL BE A REFERENDUM ON THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE REORGANIZATION PLAN PREPARED BY THE MOUNT DESERT ISLAND REORGANIZATION PLANNING COMMITTEE TO CREATE AN ALTERNATIVE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE UNDER THE SCHOOL CONSOLIDATION LAW.
(A copy of the Plan and Warrant are enclosed with this mailing and we will have representatives present to summarize the plan, as well as to answer our questions).
Adjournment: After completion of our discussion, and vote, if time permits, we will discuss organization into committees and objectives for the Committee before the planning begins for the Annual Meeting.
PLEASE NOTE:
1. OUR MEETING IS BEING HELD ON A WEDNESDAY.
2. WE NEED AT LEAST ½ OF THE UNEXCUSED MEMBERS OF THE WARRANT COMMITTEE TO HAVE A QUORUM FOR A RECORDABLE VOTE TO BE PRESENTED AS OUR RECOMMENDATION ON THE BALLOT. IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND ON WEDNESDAY, PLEASE CONTACT TOM, JOHN OR BILL OR THE TOWN OFFICE SO THAT YOU CAN BE EXCUSED.
